Synods on Synodality – Implementation in Local Churches

Our Meeting

On Tuesday 13 January 2026, Father Jean-Claude Véder presented the synod on synodality, conceived by Pope Francis, to the clergy of Mauritius, highlighting its implementation in the Diocese of Port-Louis.

This process (2021–2028) aims to make the Church a more participatory and inclusive community through measures such as consultation, discernment and concrete actions within the dioceses.

He calls for spiritual and missionary renewal, urging every member of the faithful to experience a Church that is more accessible, attentive and committed to evangelisation.
