47th General Assembly of the Union of Senegalese Clergy

Our Meeting

From 15 to 19 September 2025, we, the priests of the Union du Clergé Sénégalais (UCS), gathered in Saint-Louis for our 47th General Assembly. 203 priests from all the dioceses of Senegal and the sub-region took part in this fraternal meeting under the theme «For a synodal and autonomous Church in the service of justice and peace in Senegal». This theme was chosen in the light of the Synod on Synodality and is a follow-up to the 5th General Assembly of the United Episcopal Conferences of West Africa (CERAO), held in Dakar from 05 to 12 May 2025.
