Dakar Synodality School

The Dakar School of Synodality is a space for community formation and discernment. created in 2024, rooted in the spirituality of listening and «conversation in the Spirit». It promotes a renewed vision of the Church through concrete pedagogical paths, methodological tools and the animation of local cells. Its influence extends to dioceses, parishes, ecclesial movements, young people, academic institutions and religious institutes.

Theological Institute of the Society of Jesus

Opened in 2003, the Institut de Théologie de la Compagnie de Jésus (ITCJ) is a theology school dedicated to training and promoting research in intercultural theology. The second campus of the Université Jésus d'Abidjan (UJA), it offers theological training recognized by the Côte d'Ivoire government and, as an associate of the Nairobi-based Faculté de Théologie des Jésuites d'Afrique et Madagascar (FTJAM), also awards canonical diplomas.

Catholic Missionary Institute of Abidjan

Founded in 2004 by a group of religious and missionary institutes, the Institut Catholique Missionnaire d'Abidjan offers philosophical and theological training rooted in the faith of the Church and driven by a missionary dynamic. Open to contemporary issues affecting human existence, particularly that of the African peoples, it respects the diversity of ecclesial vocations: priesthood, religious life, consecrated life and lay commitment.

Tangaza University

Founded in 1986 in Nairobi, Kenya, by a consortium of male religious institutes, Tangaza University's vocation is to train ethical and transformative leaders in the service of the Church and society. This mission is embodied in quality education, innovative research and strong community involvement, in keeping with the Catholic intellectual tradition.

Hekima University College

Established in 1984 in Nairobi by the Society of Jesus, Hekima University College is a formation and research institute dedicated to integral and contextualized education. It welcomes Jesuits and non-Jesuits - lay people, clerics and religious, men and women - and offers high-quality training, particularly in theology, based on Ignatian pedagogy and the great traditions of Christian humanism.
